Lori A. May writes across the genres in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. She edits, teaches, and travels as a frequent guest speaker. Her latest book, The Write Crowd: Literary Citizenship & the Writing Life, describes how writers of all experience levels can participate in the literary community. She is the author of two crime novels, two books of poetry, The Low-Residency MFA Handbook, and a memoir in progress. Her short works have appeared in several journals and magazines and have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She is a reviewer for publications including Los Angeles Review and Portland Book Review and offers workshops, lectures, and informal talks to students and emerging writers across the country.
