Wendy Call has served as Writer in Residence at twenty institutions, including Harborview Medical Center, Hedgebrook, New College of Florida, and five national parks. She co-edited Telling True Stories: A Nonfiction Writers' Guide (Penguin, 2007). Her book No Word for Welcome: The Mexican Village Faces the Global Economy (Nebraska, 2011) won Grub Street's National Book Prize for Nonfiction. Her current literary projects are supported by 4Culture and the National Endowment for the Arts. She lives in Seattle and serves on the BFA faculty of Goddard College.
